Organizational Overview
The cornerstone of a strong yoga practice is a strong instructor, at SWAY, we offer some of the finest. We are proud of our dedicated and gifted yoga instructors, who all bring a unique approach and energy to their classes. Whether you want a vigorous power yoga practice or a more individualized practice, our teachers are able to tailor a practice to you – offering guidance that is gentle and instructive, never high-pressure. Our yoga instructors include members of the community, with hundreds of hours in training and experience working with yogis of all shapes and sizes.
The cornerstone of our foundation is the understanding that not all people from various walks of life and backgrounds have the same access and opportunity to do what they need to stay healthy; mentally, physically and/or emotionally. And we like to work on the front end, preventive side of that overall optimal health, by recognizing the need for yoga and other healing modalities in our wheel house and being able to offer them to communities who have lacked that access.
It is a simple formula for us. “Be the change we wish to see in this healing space,” and offer the same access, opportunity and loving/caring environment to all who cross our doorway.
SWAY Yoga Foundation has homes in Georgia, Mississippi, and Arizona, as we have tapped our communities in both areas and wanted to give back to those most in need; in ways that bring health, healing, joy, understanding and daily gratitude.
Our Program Pillars include:
- Yoga for all ages and other forms of mind/body work: i.e, reiki, sound therapy and more
- Mindfulness & Meditation Activities for Families and Individuals
- Retreats & Events that offer a deeper dive into yoga, mindfulness, and community connection.
- Yoga Alliance approved 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification
